We seek to define and highlight the differing identities we bring with us that can contribute to the disparity that we encounter.
The Force Vision Statement: Our Vision is to empower community members of Black and African Heritage through advocacy and policy reform for culturally informed and equitable access to housing, mental & physical health treatment, education, criminal justice, entrepreneurship and employment.
Membership: Attendance of at least 3 general meetings justifies membership and voting rights. General meetings are scheduled for the 1st Monday of every month at 9:30am. General meetings are be inclusive of allyship. All members must also join at least one workgroup to contribute to action items related to the mission and vision. Workgroup meetings are facilitated by BMH Task Force leadership and typically take place 1-2 times per month in addition to the general meeting. Safe spaces solely for Black persons will be created throughout the work as supplemental support to our community to allow for discussion/topics for us and by us.
